The Maze Runner 2: The Scorch Trails By James Dashner Review

Since I love reading I thought doing book reviews as part of my blog would be nice. I recently finished a book that I would like to share:

As many people might know, late 2014 The Maze Runner made it to the big screen. Someone told me I HAD to read the book before it came out otherwise it just wasn't right. I did read it and was actually amazed I enjoyed it. I'm not very into action and stuff, I'm more into love and stuff. After watching the movie, I was quite sad that it was very different from the book. Some scenes were changes weirdly. Anyway I read The Maze Runner 2: The Scorch Trails and it was incredible ! It was even better than the first book. It was so interesting and the drama, like never stopped !

If you know about Thomas and the Gladers, in the book the boys are sent on another mission by the organisation known as WICKED. They meet new people and go on lots of new adventures in the 'real world'. I've got to say the action and situations were much better in this novel and I enjoyed the relationships between Thomas and new people the Gladers met. The end is REALLY AMAZING #JUSTSAYING and if you want to read this book you're actually gonna have to read all four including the first one. It is said that the movie will be coming out this year September ? Hope they use the book for more of a guide this time.

Friends And Princesses

I get new loves very often. Finding new things that I end up loving is actually very easy ! So I would like to share my two new loves :

1. 'Friends' TV Show :

I'm a real sucker for sitcoms ! Modern Family, 2 Broke Girls, The Middle, How I Met Your Mother are a few of my favourites. Friends is nothing new and many people have watched it, but if you're young and have never experienced the greatness of 'Smelly Cat' like me, then I really recommend watching this and letting it consume your life. I'm currently on season 2 so don't spoil anything for me ! If you're blessed with the channel Comedy Central, Friends is on Mondays-Fridays at 6:00 p.m, if not then use the privileges of the internet.

2. Pocket Princesses :

Disney Princesses are probably the cutest things. Amy Mebberson is the creator of 'Pocket Princesses'. She draws little cartoons of Disney Princesses which are absolutely adorable ! You can follow her on Facebook at  https://www.facebook.com/pocketprincesses/info?tab=page_info  to see all her little creations.

Christmas In The Cape

During the jolly season of Christmas my family and I did some road tripping down to Cape Town (basically the New York of South Africa). Although the drive is a long one, it’s not boring with the beautiful Karoo desert and little villages. I stayed at The Drostdy Hotel in Graaf-Reinet and it was absolutely ADORABLE. It looked like a whole town on its own.

So seeing we were in Cape Town for a looooonnnnggggg time, I'll just have to put down my 3 favourite destinations from the trip :

  • World of Birds -

Somewhere in Hout Bay there is a bird sanctuary where hundreds of birds and other little animals live. My favourite thing to do is go in the open monkey pen where little squirrel monkeys come and sit on your lap and play with your shoes ! They are so cute as they walk all over your legs and sit on your head. This might not be everyone's cup of tea but I certainly enjoyed it !

  • Ratanga Junction -
The fact that I have been here so many times and still enjoy it, is proof that this place is amazing. Opposite the great Canal Walk Shopping Centre, is the just as great Ratanga Junction. What is this you may ask ? ONLY THE BEST THEME PARK IN SOUTH AFRICA ! They have lots roller coasters like the terrifying Cobra, the wet Monkey Falls and the thrilling Bush Whacker ! It does get really busy and the lines are long but it's so worth it.

  • V & A Waterfront -

Seeing that our hotel was a 5 minute walk away from the Waterfront we went there practically everyday ! I absoulety love the atmosphere and all the people there. They have a Ferris Wheel that I went on a couple of times, you can see the whole harbour from the little cube room thingy. Another thing I went on was a helicopter, that they offer at the Waterfront. This was amazing as I've never been on one before and it's something I recommend to everyone. Looking over the hills, the sea and the winelands was incredible. The shopping mall has every shop I wanted to go to so there will defiantly be a Holiday Haul coming soon !
